I can’t believe that this Fall, I’ll be running my very first marathon— the Chicago Marathon! I never imagined that I’d be participating in anything like this. I’m really excited, a little bit nervous, but more than anything honored for the opportunity to be running in support of Salute, Inc. Transitioning back to civilian life is often difficult enough and even more so when there is injury. SALUTE helps by delivershort term financial assistance to bridge the temporary income gaps and meet the basic needs of post 9/11 veterans.
