SALUTE, INC. - Join us in our mission
What started as a group of neighbors helping one family in the months after 9/11 has evolved into SALUTE, INC.: a multifaceted 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers 100% of grant funds (and 85% of all donations) in direct payments for veterans' bills. We started small, but over the past 20 years, we've paid more than $6.5 million in bills for veterans.
With our Emergency Financial Assistance Program, we bridge gaps during the transition to civilian life by paying low-income, injured and disabled veterans’ essential bills. Most of these bills are mortgage, rent, car payments, car insurance, utilities and childcare. Taking care of these bills means veterans can focus on getting better, instead of worrying about keeping the lights on and a roof over their families’ heads.
We have one goal: To get injured veterans and military service members the funding they need to get through their financial hardship so they can recover and move forward to a better life.
