Hi everyone!

I decided to take on my first marathon, the Chicago Marathon 2026; but not alone. I am raising awareness for our military with SALUTE, INC.

It is no shocker that I come from military and police roots. I come from a family where the uniform and the sacrifice are part of our everyday lives. So I developed a passion in raising awareness for our military. My family has served both in the US Army and Marine Corps as I am still serving in the US Army.

As for our experiences collectively; we have witnessed the physical, emotional, and financial needs of injured Veterans and service members. Whether we witnessed other Veterans from the same deployment or we witnessed personal Veteran friends struggle; it is our duty to give them a second chance at rebuilding a life. These scars might be overcoming injury during combat, PTSD from deployments or an unexpected cancer stage occurring during their transition to civilian life.

I witnessed both the strength and the scars that service can leave behind. I, first-hand, witnessed my own family overcome physical injury hardships or experience PTSD from deployments. I can say it is heavy and difficult to watch someone who gave their all to feel like they lost it all.

So let’s give back to those who gave it all. Our donation is their new start. They stood for us and now we stand with them.
