My name is Sadie Ellingson, my fiance and I are both Marine Corps veterans and we served 1 tour in Afghanistan together. He also deployed to Iraq and went back to Afghanistan for a year. I have run 3 marathons and numerous half marathons.
It's been a long time dream to run the Chicago Marathon, and being able to run for TeamSalute makes it even that much more special! Being a veteran myself, I feel passionate about helping my fellow veteran brothers and sisters who are in need. I feel very fortunate to be apart of an orginization that directly gives back.
